‘Vedantin', Ping Luo, Ed. D, E-RYT, Herbalist, Reiki/Shamanic Mythic, a certified Vinyasa Ashtanga yoga teacher by BNS Iyengar at Patanjili Vinyasa Ashtanga Yogashala, Mysore, India, a certified yoga teacher by International Sivananda Vedanta Center, an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT) at 500 level, a certified integrative herbalist by School of Integrative Herbology, a master practitioner of Shamanic Reiki energy healing, and a professor at a university teaches holistic health. He wears many hats in his dharmic life but primarily he is a yogi and a traveling yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga, and preparing yoga teachers around the world for many many years.

He studied extensively with a myriad of gurus of many traditions. Some of them in the yoga tradition are BNS Iyengar, Sri Patabhi Jois, Tim Miller, Berle Bender Birch, David Swenson, and other great yogins. Over years of experience he has found a true guru resides right into his heart. He has been taking his journey and pilgrimage externally and internally into the synthesis of many mystic, healing, and yogic paths such as classic yogic, tantric yoga, Patanjili's 8-limb yoga, devotional yoga (Bakti Yoga), action yoga (Karma Yoga), and Yogic Living in Theory and Practice (Juana Yoga), and shamanic healing yoga. There are many paths but the essence of all the paths is One that is to realize the SELF and to be in the state of contentment, happiness, and bliss.

Vedantin is the founder and director of SchoolYoga Institute, a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. He integrates his pedagogical knowledge of modern techniques in teacher training into mythic teaching of yoga, blending the “science” with the art of connecting and sharing. He integrates shamanic healing medicine into his daily self-healing practice and yoga teaching. He primarily practices and teaches Sadhana Vinyasa Yoga (Vinyasa Ashtanga based), Sadhana Hatha Yoga (Sivananda based), and Shamanic Healing Yoga (blending healing power of indigenous medicine wheel with joy of yoga).

He has been studied Shamanic Healing for a long period of time and was fortunately enough to study Ancient medicine intensively with a few medicine men and women in the high Andes and Amazon jungle in Peru and Bolivia as a part of his quest for truth and pilgrimage of unknown. He has been blessed and initiated as an earth keeper and medicine shaman by the medicine elders in the high Andes in Peru and in Bolivia. He continues on to embark the journey of healing and power for himself and the world around him as a medicine keeper of the earth.

He was born and raised in a Buddhist community, the sacred Emei Mountain, in China, near Tibet. He has learned Buddhist principles at early age and integrated them into his lifestyle. Practicing meditation, Taichi, Chigong, and Chinese Martial arts was an integral part of growing up. He started to teach these principles 20 years ago. When he was first introduced to yoga that he found yoga has all aspects of Buddhist principles, mind, body, and spirit. Practicing Yoga has been instrumental for his life realization. He believes that the state of love, life contentment, joy, peace, and bliss is not from ever changing world but from inner stillness, the true Self. He shares yoga to with others with his heart and love of yoga.

Vedantin is inspired to respond to his inner calling, to share the wisdom and power of yoga and healing arts with others. He visions the conception of University of Healing Art in a very near future to serve the humanity and bridge the gap between the “science” to “ancient tradition”. His dedication and love to Yoga and Healing Arts would benefit those who are pursuing stillness of mind and body and happiness and contentment of life. He resides in California and also teaches Holistic Health at a university in California when he is not on road.
