Located on the eastern slope of San Pedro volcanic mountain, a short boat ride across the bay from Santiago Atitlan, Finca de Yoga Mistica, the Mystical Yoga Farm, is a yoga, healing, spiritual, and mystical farming community coupled with sustainable permaculture and Biodynamic farming techniques. Our intention is to be self sustained, to grow our own food and grow yogis and healing practitioners, and to heal the earth and mankind through connection with nature, spirit, and the source of creation.

Mystical Yoga Farm Apprenticeships

Finca de Yoga Mistica is open to those who have a calling to live in a yoga and spiritual community in the most beautiful and mystical lake in the world. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us for as little as a week or many months to come. By joining our apprentice program you are making a commitment to the yogic and spiritual lifestyle we practice every day on the farm.

Please contact us if you are interested in starting an apprenticeship.

Time Commitment: Apprenticeships can range from minimum 1 week to 6 months. Finca de Yoga Mistica is a working spiritual community. For this reason we require a one week commitment minimum for all those interested to visit and live in the farm. The applicants with the intention of staying for a month or more are encouraged as this facilitates more in-depth immersion of yoga and spiritual practice and involvement in the community. We ask each apprentice to contribute 5 hours Karma Yoga service each day to the community as a part of selfless service. Everyone has a job to contribute to the health and growth of the community. Karma Yoga projects include but are not limited to: organic gardening, planting, cleaning living space, eco-building, cooking community meals, teaching yoga and healing art classes, assisting events and workshop, homeschooling children in the community, harvesting fruits and vegetables, assisting in the design of appropriate technologies, runs to town and market and much much more. We do our best to place people in jobs that suit their interest, experience, and expertise, but also encourage community members to expand their horizons by exploring new activities during their stay on the farm.

Participating in Workshops: The farm will be hosting workshops, events, courses, and teacher trainings. Our long term apprentices staying for two months or more will have the opportunity to participate in lectures and classes free of charge when space available and with permission from Farm Director. Those who have short stays can participate in the workshops at discounted rate up to 50% when space available. Please contact us or visit our website for more information regarding specific programs.

Daily Life on the Farm: Following table is the tentative schedule of residential Program. We ask each apprentice to follow the schedule as close as possible so the experience at the farm becomes enriched and alive. Some exceptions will be observed. For example, garden crew may have to skip morning Meditation and Asana sessions to work in the early morning hours during harvesting days or skip afternoon asana session to work in the longer afternoon hours for planting days. Our farm will be operated by the rhythm of cosmos not by the minds of people. We encourage all of you to become aware of cycles of change in you and around you.
