How to Get Involved

Introduction to University of Healing Arts (UHA):
An online university that has authentic learning sites around the world.

University of Healing Arts is in the initial stage of development. While we are preparing for the grand opening in the near future we are now in a position to start offering many different healing arts programs through SchoolYoga Institute. Please join us for this promising and emerging field of study and healing.

Please note that all these ideas are in the early planning stages and are expected to change as we move forward.

Our Vision to Create a University

University of Healing Arts is an experiential and educational institute for the arts of healing, the healing of the East, the healing of the west, the healing of the ancient, and the healing of the modern. UHA is the institute to bridge the gap between the practice of traditional healing arts and the recognition of scientific society and society in large. UHA is the institute to bridge the gap between the traditional healing arts and western healing modalities.

UHA offers traditional healing modalities from around the globe at same time offers conventional healing modalities of the West. The healing arts include three major groups, spiritual healing, physical healing, and energetic healing. UHA employs teaching faculty around the world who are leading researchers, distinguished professors, established authors, and more importantly the practitioners in the healing arts of different traditions.
UHA is a global university registered in United States of America. Even though the UHA is primarily on-line university we value the experiential aspect of education in healing arts. Our online courses are designed to be interactive and experiential in nature. We provide different modern technologies for you to access great resources of the course information for experiential learning and practice. We also ask our students to participate once or twice a year in our Learning and Living Institute where the professors and students gather at different locations around the world. We intend to have our physical sites at the sacred site around the world, for examples, Sun Island of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, Sacred Valley in Peru, Emei Mountain in China, Lhasa in Tibet, San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua, Samoa Island of Pacific Ocean, San Marcos La Laguna in Guatemala, and Mountain Shasta in US.

UHA offers three levels of programs:

  • Practitioner Certification Programs
  • Master of Science in Healing Arts Program (MS)
  • Doctorate of Philosophy in Healing Arts Program (Ph.D.)

The programs of the UHA is designed for those who are in the field of healing arts, who are inspired to be practitioners in the field of the healing arts, and who are interested in healing for themselves or in return to heal others.

Introduction to Healing Arts

Healing arts, for a purpose of easy classification, consist of three integral parts, energetic healing, physical healing, and spiritual healing. Even though the classifications are necessary for a systematic investigation but each healing tradition interweaves and overlaps the three parts. So to remember healing arts is not isolated act but the holistic and wholesome interactions between people, earth, mountain, sky, sun, moon, plants, and spirit.

Energetic Healing.

Energy healing is to channel energy of earth, sky, mountain, plant, river, lake, fire, stars, sun, moon, the natural resources, and even the love and compassion of our own hearts, for the purposes to heal our body, mind, and emotion that impede us to become harmonized with the cosmos. The energy is the same when we access the pure energy of divine through different channels, Reiki healing energy, Shamanic healing energy, Kundalini healing energy, and Chiqong healing energy as examples. These energetic healing modalities will be described in details in later chapter.

Physical Healing

Physical healing involves anatomical and physiological aspects of healing modalities for the purposes to alter the mal-conditions of person suffering illness physically, mentally and emotionally by introducing visible and physical means of interventions. It includes but no limited to herbology, yoga as medicine, Ayurveda, Physical Manipulations, Chinese medicine, and Western medicine.

Spiritual Healing

Spiritual healing uses the spiritual concepts of different traditions to reveal the truth purpose of living. Hence we live in the world with a sense of duties and responsibilities as human beings and at the same time we experience the ultimate spiritual beings within our physical bodies. We are in harmony with each other and in harmony with the mother earth, father sky, and the entire cosmos. We reside in this very life in peace, joy, love, and compassion. There is no more suffering and no more struggle. Even the sufferings and struggle exist they solely serve us and remind us that we are the human beings to live here to experience the beauty and love beyond the experiences.
